In 2017, Matador signed a multi-year production and development deal with Cutler Productions, the production company founded by R.J. Cutler and Jane Cha, to develop and produce nonfiction projects including docuseries, reality and competition shows, among others, for broadcast, cable and streaming platforms.


R.J. Cutler

R.J. Cutler is an award-winning director and producer. His work includes the feature film If I Stay, the documentaries Listen to Me MarlonThe World According to Dick CheneyThe September IssueA Perfect Candidate and The War Room, and the television series NashvilleAmerican HighFreshman DiariesBlack/White and 30 Days. Currently Cutler is writing, directing and executive producing The Breach, a six-hour limited series for the History Channel that tells the story of the events surrounding Bill Clinton’s impeachment. He is also at work on a feature documentary about legendary performer John Belushi for Showtime. Cutler has been nominated for an Academy Award and he is the recipient of an Emmy, two Peabody Awards, a GLAAD Award, two Cinema Eye Awards, and two Television Academy Honor Awards. In 2009, the Museum of Television and Radio held a four-day retrospective of his work. He and his wife Jane live in Los Angeles with their daughter Madeleine and their dog Dexter.


Jane Cha

Jane Cha Cutler is the co-creator and executive producer of the hit television series Project Runway. She has executive produced the program for every one of its fifteen seasons. Cha Cutler has received 12 Emmy and 11 Producers Guild nominations and is the recipient of the prestigious Peabody, GLAAD and Gracie Awards as well as a special New York Mayoral Proclamation.    

Cha Cutler has also co-created and executive produced Project Runway Junior, Models of the Runway, and Threads, and has executive produced the television shows HomeGrown Makeover, Seriously Funny Kids, Stylista, FashionNation, and NYC Fashion Week TV.

She is currently heading up non-fiction programming at Little Creatures, a joint venture with her husband R.J. Cutler in partnership with Matador Content, developing docu-series, formats and feature documentaries.  

As the President of Production for Full Picture, Inc., Cha Cutler spent eighteen years focused on television and digital development and production, working closely with Full Picture’s public relations, artist management and branding divisions. She has partnered with top designers, editors and brand ambassadors and has created collaborations with the likes of Michelle Obama, Google, and Zac Posen.  These have included a special limited edition collection under the auspices of First Lady Michelle Obama’s Let Girls Learn Peace Corps initiative; a first of its kind runway show with custom-coded garments for Zac Posen in collaboration with Google’s Made with Code; and an ‘eventized’ virtual reality Fashion Week finale.

Cha Cutler has worked closely with some of the fashion industry’s top models and brands, including Heidi Klum and Victoria’s Secret, and was a key figure in the development of the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show for television. She has also produced fashion shows worldwide, including the centerpiece for a California Trade Mission to China, which aired on China’s CCTV.

Cha Cutler’s work in new media and online production includes serving as co-creator and executive producer of the YouTube channel, LOOK.TV, as well as the Heidi Klum on AOL channel with award-winning verticals in Fashion, Beauty, Wellness and Relationships. She was also one of the founders of Modelinia, a fashion and content portal presented from the POV of top models and industry influencers. This content has won awards including the W3 sanctioned by the International Academy of the Visual Arts. Cha Cutler has also worked on a wide array of digital content for high profile talent and influencers including Zendaya and K-pop stars.

In the world of virtual reality, Cha Cutler served as a special projects consultant with South Korean conglomerate SK Group, where she helped launch and explore VR opportunities for such apps as StyleTag, Chat Frankly and SK Minute. Her VR project Manic Maze is a collaboration with pioneering VR company Emblematic and VR producer Nonie de la Pena.

Cha Cutler is Co-Chair of the Entertainment Leadership Council at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and the LA Task Committee of Direct Relief.

Prior to the founding of Full Picture, Cha Cutler held positions at Rogers & Cowan, Entertainment Tonight and ABC.  While studying Government at Harvard University, she worked on numerous political campaigns.  Cha Cutler lives in Los Angeles with her husband and daughter.
